Technology and Industry vs. Earth and Mother Nature

Filed under: Dishonest Dude Finder — admin @ 1:11 pm

Since the birth of Industry the world has struggled to adapt to this powerful mode of evolution by humans.  Pollution and resource consumption being the two major factors that the Earth struggles to survive and produce at a steady enough rate to supply the ever growing and needy populations of the modern world.  The past two years or so the world’s largest corporations and industries have jumped on the “Green” band wagon in an effort to help Mother Earth however, the sad truth is, advertisers, marketers, and PR for those companies ride the wagon to generate business and drive sales.  Nearly 9 out of 10 companies claiming to have gone “Green” are in fact not Green at all.  Simple ways of recycling paper, cans, and bottles are common place among most households yet most major corporations still have not implemented or ignore this responsibility in order to save a buck or two.

In the 21st century more and more people are increasing their material goods and advanced technologies.  These very same people are losing their jobs, pensions, and futures because of the financial meltdown.  Tough times in our history and now again cause people to wonder why we are here, is there a God and/or cause an instant dedication to one,  to wonder why the government bails out criminals, why the rising cancer rates, why the war against terrorism, and the disturbing fact that all of these separate things may somehow be connected and orchestrated by a small group of very powerful unknowns with a secret plan that doesn’t necessarily have the masses thriving in peace and harmony.

So what are we laymen and women supposed to do about it?  Only you know what you can do to help.  I offer a few suggestions.  Nurture your children with higher education and a safe home.  Be proactive and get involved in your community.  If you have the power to stop the exploitation of the masses documented or not than do it.  If you have the power to stop pollution and eliminate waste than do it.  All living things are “Sacred” from cows to insects.  The Earth is us and us the Earth, so treat it well for our own sake and our children.   Be Sacred and wear this funny t-shirt from Dishonest Apparel, dishonestapparel.com featuring a cow with the world map as it’s spots!

Artists vs. Writers Softball game and Copyright infringement?

Lori Singer, Tarek Pertew

Lori Singer, Tarek Pertew

Copyrights are all the rave in the United States.  You can’t trust anyone with anything it seems, but what’s the big deal of altering an existing image and attempting to make money with it?   We spoke with The Pertew brothers of Dishonest Apparel who were hanging with the beautiful and talented musician and actress Lori Singer.  The two brothers and third business partner are emersed in the world of stolen Art, many of their original Artwork featured on t-shirts and other apparel have been knocked off and replicated with just minor changes.  Tarek the originator of Dishonestees Inc. mentioned “It can be very frustrating as an Artist to see your work selling without your permission and/or a Design altered slightly however, instead of focusing on suing people I continue to produce new and fresh Designs.”  His brother Karim said “The fact is slight alterations to original Artwork are legal, we even do it!   Duplicating and selling is not and I’ll drag those Commie Monkeys by the hair down 5th avenue.”

Should Shepard Fairey sue the Artists and Writers for replicating his work and color scheme on their charity team t-shirts?   Fairey, the California artist whose “Obama Hope” works have garnered much attention has filed a lawsuit against the Associated Press over his right to use the famous image. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Fairey’s lawsuit is requesting that the artist be found not to be in violation of any copyright law because the 2006 AP photo image was dramatically changed.

The Associated Press threatened to sue Fairey over use of the photo, citing being owed compensation and credit for use of a photograph taken by Mannie Garcia as part of an AP assignment. Paul Colford, a spokesperson for the Associated Press, is quoted in the report as stating, “AP believes it is crucial to protect photographers, who are creators and artists. Their work should not be misappropriated by others.”

Anthony Falzone with the Fair Use Project, which participated in bringing forth the lawsuit, is further quoted in the report as stating, “There should be no doubt about the legality of Fairey’s work… He used the photograph for a purpose entirely different than the original, and transformed it dramatically.”

The Associated Press and anyone like these bastards who make it their mission to crush Artists and Writers should be beaten in public.  It’s hard enough for Artists and Writers to put food on the table while they work tiresly on a piece to achieve a descent living for them and their families, to then be attacked and sued for creating beautiful and salable work.

On the other hand knocking off (duplicating exactly) original Art, hand bags, DVD movies, clothing, etc is a crime and should be punishable by death or removal of extremeties.  They do in Saudi Arabia!  I’m not serious however, I do want to emphasize the magnitude of such dishonesty.

Suicide in 2009 How to Cope without the Dope.

Filed under: Dishonest Dude Finder — admin @ 9:22 pm

As the economy crashes in the United States and the world, more and more people turn to Suicide.  Could this be the only way to cope with lifes stresses and disappointments? Credit Card debt, mortgage payments, tuition, loans, unemployment, and/or just bad luck can result in at least the thought of Suicide.  Stop worrying because there is hope and making rationally smart decisions to relieve stress can help you see it.

Pythagoras, for example, was against the act, though more on mathematical than moral grounds, believing that there was only a finite number of souls for use in the world, and that the sudden and unexpected departure of one upset a delicate balance. Aristotle also condemned suicide, though for quite different, far more practical reasons, in that it robbed the community of the services of one of its members. So sorry to have disrupted your community with no one to shovel your shit.

In ancient times, suicide sometimes followed defeat in battle, to avoid capture and possible subsequent torture, mutilation, or enslavement by the enemy.

Suicide in Japan is considered to be a major problem nationally.[1][2] Causes of suicide include unemployment (due to the economic recession in the 1990s), depression, and social pressures. Japan has one of the world’s highest suicide rates, especially amongst industrialized nations,[3] and the Japanese government says the rate for 2006 is ninth highest in the world.[4] In 2007, the number of suicides exceeded 30,000 for the tenth straight year.[2] – Since 2008, the economic situation worsened in Japan due to the global financial crisis, and this has pushed the suicide rate in Japan even higher. The industries are becoming smaller which is causing higher unemployment. This in turn leads to the Japanese husbands being at home much more and this is causing domestic problems because it has been the traditional role of the Japanese women to be in the home. This situation has been the cause of some marriage breakdown, even divorce. Being unable to cope with these stresses, the Japanese men have turned to suicide.  This is basically what is happening in the U.S. as well.

There are simple decisions to help relieve your stress.

1. Hire a therapist, most cost $100 or less per session and work on a sliding scale.  If you cannot afford one because you’re having financial issues, credit cards being one of them.  Stop worrying about your credit score, credit cards didn’t exist before 1950, along with cable TV.

2.  Stop paying your credit cards immediately and save the money you have, there isn’t a mafioso thug whose going to break your legs.

3.  When collections angencies call tell them you no longer live there and that you’re the new owners/renters.  Give them a fake name if necessary.

4.  Get rid of luxuries like HBO, big SUVs, dinner and lunches out, beach homes, etc.

5.  Down size your home, if you can’t sell, then go bankrupt and let the bank take it.  Take your money and get an apartment or move in with reliable and sane family.

6.  Get unemployment insurance, get creative and look for jobs like waitering, sales paid by the hour, start a business out of your house or apartment that seems feasible.

7.  If  you’re handicapped or suffer from back pain like me, then look for jobs that will avoid aggrivating your condition and ask your family for help.

8.  If none of the above applies to you and why you’re contemplating suicide than make a change that will eliminate what’s eating away at your core, move near a beach, change jobs, separate from your partner, take a vacation, get in your car and drive somewhere for a few days, or take a very long walk or run.

Tomorrow is a new day, so take my advice and “Hang in There!”
